France and Egypt vow to settle things in Libya

 France and Egypt are making efforts to settle things in crisis struck Libya by coming up with newer ways to solve the things in the country.

On October 13, according to a statement announced by the french ambassador to Egypt, it was revealed that the two countries--Egypt and France, will be coordinating on efforts to make this work in Libya.

Stepahne Romatet said, “France and Egypt share the same view regarding ways to settle the Libyan crisis, mainly by transforming the temporary truce into a permanent cease-fire and pushing all Libyan parties to reach a common political agenda.” He further explained that it is important to take this stemp there is no military solution available in the Libyan land. 

During the press statement, it was also noted by the ambassador that while the settlement is being sorted, forign influence should be duly kept out. He especially addereted on Turkey’s role in the country saying that the country must follow the UN’s arms embargo in Libya in 2011.

Things were made clear by Romatet after it came to knowledge that the Egyptians are hosting a meeting from October11-October13 between members of ‘Libya’s House of Representatives and the State Council, under UN auspices, to discuss the constitutional path.’

According to a regional newspaper, the meetings were around the legal procedures and practices of the constitution. Libyan parties are also expecting to carry out further discussions with Egypt official complete discussions on constitutional arrangements, end the transitional stage and start arrangements for a permanent phase.

While talking to a news agency Al-Monitor, Ayaan Samir, an international relations researcher, Cairo and Paris share a common interest to settle things in Libya. He revealed that we want to lay down a road map for the Libyan government so that they see a parliamentary and presidential form of election in coming days.
