Turkey has expressed its desire to improve its economic ties with Egypt ahead of Turkish delegations visit to Cairo towards the end of this week. Ankara is trying to repair troubled diplomatic ties with Cairo so that economic benefits can be served for its expansion. The move will reportedly push for bettering diplomatic ties between these two regional powers, said the Trade Minister Mehmet Mus on Monday. Since 2013, the ties between Cairo and Ankara have been strained due to their different regional stances. Egypt’s army was known for its strong opposition towards terrorism and hence they had killed president of Muslim Brotherhood, who was known to be close to Turkish powers.   The United States is yet to announce its President ahead of the official number being released, Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has extended support to whichever candidate wins the elections.   During the virtual ceremony of Turkey-African economy, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he does not want the ongoing coronavirus pandemic to affect the relationship of Turkey with Africa. He added with latest development in the relationship of both the regions, Turkey aims to raise the trade to $50 million in coming years. "They (Turkish companies) have so far undertaken nearly $70 billion (TL 555 billion) worth of projects across the continent.
