  The International Committee of the Red Cross and Qatar inked a contract on Thursday to establish the organization's headquarters in Doha, according to Qatar News Agency. Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, the minister of state for foreign affairs for Qatar, and Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, the head of the ICRC, both signed the contract. The ICRC's headquarters in Doha will try to increase international coordination, encourage cooperation between the two parties in a range of humanitarian endeavours, and start projects that will help them accomplish their shared objectives.

  I want to share something interesting about what I read today. It’s about how similar it is with the case with Vietnam and relations in Southeast Asia, a similar condition will apply in Afghanistan: Balancing relations between the US and a more decisive China. However, basically, both the US and China are looking for a similar assurance from the Taliban, and it identifies with security and non-impedance.  On the basis of a Florida court testimony Ilhan Omar, the Democratic Representative and a member of the progressive Squad in Congress, has been accused of leaking sensitive information to Qatar and Iran. The civil case filed against Omar labeled her as a paid agent of the Arab country, who used her position in the US Congress (House of Representatives) in accessing and passing on sensitive information to Doha and Tehran. The accusation against Omar was made by Alan Bender, a Kuwaiti-born Canadian businessman, who in his tell-all testimony, given on October 23 via video-conference from Toronto, said that he has close ties with governments and royal officials across the Middle East including Qatar.   Qatar authorities have released a statement saying that they have identified the parents of the baby found near a garbage tin in an Airport in Qatar. The matter received a lot of attention worldwide because the Qatari authorities were accused of sexually assaulting women belonging from different nationalities and especially triggered people in Australia. More than a dozens of women were invasively searched in the airport where the Qatari authorities found an abandoned baby and targeted women from around 10 flights and examined them without their consent to identify if they were the ones to leave the baby behind.   On Monday, a statement released by the Qatari prosecutor read that an unspecified number of Qatar airport staff and authorities were detained for carrying out these examinations.   Algeria is all against any kind of settlement with Arab-Israel peace keeping treaty and does not see the need to become a part of it either.   According to Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algeria has no intentions of sorting out anything or normalizing its equations with Israel.   According to Tebboune, the countries have rushed aimlessly into entering an agreement with Israel.   Algeria is now moving towards Qatar and the latter is happily showing support.   Qatar has decided to finance reconstruction of educational facilities in Albania by granting $5 million through its charity organisation, Qatar Fund For Development(QFFD). It has been announced by the QFFD that this funding is aimed at rebuilding two secondary schools and kindergarten in Albania. This move by the state of Qatar may seem to be a noble deal with no strings attached to it but keeping in mind the recent activities of Qatar, this may serve a larger motive. Qatar has been in search of ways to expand its reach especially in the European countries.
