  Qatar is Hamas' most important financial backer and foreign ally. Qatari Emir Sheik Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani was the first state leader to visit the Hamas government in 2012. So far, the emirate has transferred €1.5 billion ($1.8 billion) to Hamas.  On the basis of a Florida court testimony Ilhan Omar, the Democratic Representative and a member of the progressive Squad in Congress, has been accused of leaking sensitive information to Qatar and Iran. The civil case filed against Omar labeled her as a paid agent of the Arab country, who used her position in the US Congress (House of Representatives) in accessing and passing on sensitive information to Doha and Tehran.   Qatar authorities have released a statement saying that they have identified the parents of the baby found near a garbage tin in an Airport in Qatar.
