 On the basis of a Florida court testimony Ilhan Omar, the Democratic Representative and a member of the progressive Squad in Congress, has been accused of leaking sensitive information to Qatar and Iran. The civil case filed against Omar labeled her as a paid agent of the Arab country, who used her position in the US Congress (House of Representatives) in accessing and passing on sensitive information to Doha and Tehran. The accusation against Omar was made by Alan Bender, a Kuwaiti-born Canadian businessman, who in his tell-all testimony, given on October 23 via video-conference from Toronto, said that he has close ties with governments and royal officials across the Middle East including Qatar. In his statement, he said that he met Qatar ’ s Secretary to the Emir for Security Affairs Mohammad bin Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Masnad and two other senior Qatari officials.
