Iran-Hezbollah Network In Syria And After Homs Airstrikes

  Early Saturday morning, reports of airstrikes in Syria's Homs governorate surfaced. These reports come at a crucial time for the region as Jordan is hosting the Syrian government this week and Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is slated to visit Damascus. Other reports suggested that Saudi Arabia might be interested in using its newly established ties with Iran to communicate directly or indirectly with Hezbollah about matters about the country's next president. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian foreign minister, most recently traveled to Lebanon. Due to its intersection with significant tectonic changes in the area, changes that are related to diplomatic developments, Syria is a significant player today.
