  Iran imposed sanctions Wednesday on 34 individuals and entities from the European Union and Britain in reaction to similar measures they have taken over Tehran's response to months-long protests. Tehran's move comes two days after the EU and Britain placed another round of sanctions on the Islamic republic, which has been rocked by protests since the September 16 death of Mahsa Amini. Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurd, died in police custody after being arrested for allegedly breaching the country's strict dress code for women. The sanctions imposed by Tehran include the blocking of accounts and transactions in Iran's banks and the "prohibition of visa issuance and entry" to Iran, the foreign ministry said. Iran accuses the people and organizations of "supporting terrorism and terrorist groups, instigating and encouragement to terrorist acts and violence against Iranian people."   The UK government appears to be moving closer to proscribing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corp (IRGC) as a terrorist organisation, joining the likes of the U.S., France, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Government minister Leo Docherty told the House of Commons on January 12 that the issue was being actively considered, but declined to say when a decision might be made. His comments came as part of a parliamentary  debate  which saw cross-party calls for the policy to be adopted. “Why are the UK Government dragging their feet over what is clearly a required action, given that the Republican Guard is so heavily involved in the brutality and murder of people?” asked former Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith.  Proscribing the organisation would mean it would become a criminal offence to belong to the IRGC, attend its meetings or do anything to encourage its activities.   Islamic radicalism has gained new grounds of late, calling to its ideology new hearts and minds – more often than not within the youth, playing disenfranchisement and identity politics to indoctrinate new demographics, and thus consolidate its thinkers’ bases not only in the UK, but across the EU. Centre-staged to this movement sits the Muslim Brotherhood, an organisation that remains deliberately opaque, and habitually secretive. The institutional complex structure of the Muslim Brotherhood makes it particularly difficult for government to legislate over, never mind counteract at a grassroot level, especially since it acts as an umbrella for various iterations of the radical Islamic thought. Here’s something good that I want to share with what I read today. It’s about h ow a similar manner as the US and other NATO accomplices, the UK is this week inspecting its job in Afghanistan as troops leave and another period of our commitment with that nation starts. It's anything but a cruel spotlight. The media has a lot of compassion toward our powers who were locked in there, for the individuals who have gotten back with extraordinary wounds, and for families who have lost friends and family, as in any contention.   Looking at it, The harder inquiries are for policymakers. What has been accomplished? For what reason would they say that they are leaving now? Also, most importantly, what will occur straightaway, not least to those in Afghanistan whose lives have been modified by our commitment and who should confront a future that our very association has directed? These questions lingers on my mind.

Over 1,000 Afghan troops flee to Tajikistan to ‘save lives’ after clashes with Taliban.  More Afghan troops have fled across the border to Tajikistan to “save their own lives”, amid a surge of violence in Afghanistan in recent weeks, allegedly between the Taliban and the Afghan army. The official statement troops reads during the armed clashes with the Taliban, 1,037 servicemen of the Afghan governmental forces, in order to save the lives of their personnel, retreated and entered into Tajikistan through the border areas.   The uptick in violence comes as the US, UK and allies withdraw forces from Afghanistan after nearly two decades. Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said the group was not responsible for the recent increase in violence, and that many districts had fallen to the Taliban “through mediation”, after Afghan soldiers refused to fight them.     A special of Myanmar to the UN has accepted that the harsh stance to be taken might not be agreed with everyone after all.   As the first measure, a strict instruction has been sent to countries like Russia and China to stop sale of arms and ammunitions to the junta. The military has stripped the country of any semblance of peace and democracy killed since February 01, when it called in for military rule and put the whole parliament under house arrest.  According to Dr. Sasa, it is high time that we had “immediately international targeted, coordinated, tougher sanctions, both economically and diplomatically.” The strongest message possible has to communicate that crime against humanity is not to be tolerated, added by Dr. Sasa in a statement ahead of the UN Security Council virtual meeting.   I want to share something surprising as it appears to be the responses for the US will come through multilateralism supplanting its influential position, which the world has become acclimated to. The previous many years have seen to and for moves in the US' approach, from being excessively solid to full withdrawal. It appears to be the current organization will endeavor, through commitment with partners and China the same, to bring a more reliable and stable way to deal with the Middle East.   I likewise keep thinking about whether this methodology won't be perused as an American acknowledgment of China's ascent to world authority and a craving to go with it, along these lines that the UK went with the US on its ascent in the only remaining century. Such a perusing by territorial forces in the Indo-Pacific, Middle East, Africa and Europe would quicken more grounded neighborhood commitment with China and Russia to fill the vacuum left by the US.
