The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) continues aid efforts in Lebanon, Yemen and Ethiopia.

Recently, KSRelief distributed winter clothes to Syrian and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the aid benefited 2,052 families in Lebanon.

The assistant supervisor general for operations and programs of KSRelief, Ahmed bin Ali Al-Beez, also met with the Director of the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) Regional Bureau in Beirut, Costanza Farina, to talk about educational projects. Farina praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in supporting the educational sector in order to help affected communities worldwide.

The Saudi relief agency also renovated the Ibn Al-Hijlah primary school and Sumaya secondary school in Yemen to help school-going children. KSRelief distributed school bags and uniforms to 917 students.

Reportedly, KSRelief also seeks to help 11,586 students from the humanitarian initiative. According to Arab News, the relief center also aims to restore 23 schools in Yemen’s Aden, Hujjah, Hadhramaut, and Al-Muhrah governorates.

The relief center also distributed 1,084 food baskets to 6,504 people in Ethiopia. The relief center also seeks to distribute 3,600 food baskets in Ethiopia in order to benefit 21,600 people.

KSrelief has always provided help to affected communities across the world. Last year, it provided urgent aid to Yemenis in the flood-hit Al-Mahra Governorate. The agency distributed 50 tents and 50 shelter bags to 300 people. The relief agency also launched various projects to support Yemen’s healthcare sector.

KSrelief also launched the Masam project in 2018 in order to protect civilians in Yemen. Last year, 1,538 mines planted by the Houthis across Yemen were dismantled by KSrelief's Masam project. KSrelief also removed 54 anti-tank mines and 86 non-explosive ammunition in the Aden governorate in Yemen.
