Saudi Arab and women Ambassadors


 Saudi Arabia is known for having strict laws for women, but in recent years, the country has taken steps to give women more power and better opportunities. While it's well-known that Saudi Arabia has strict regulations and standards for women, the government has made great steps in recent years in empowering women and providing them with great opportunities to further their professions. One of these moves was taken by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who saw the need to enhance the status of women in the country and acted.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has so far appointed five female ambassadors. These women will be in charge of representing their country at different events all over the world. All five of Saudi Arabia's female ambassadors are listed here. Let’s go to know them:

  • Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud

Princess Reem Bint Bandar Al Saud is Saudi Arabia's first female brand ambassador. She was chosen ambassador to the United States by Prince Mohammed bin Salman in 2019. Princess is her official title. She was vice president of women's affairs and deputy of planning and development at the Saudi General Sports Authority.

She was the first woman in the Kingdom to head a multi-sports organization and the Mass Participation Federation. She has spent her whole life working to make sure women have the same rights and freedoms as men. Because she is so sure of what she believes, she has never changed her mind about this.


  • Inas al-Shahwan

Inas al-Shahwan was appointed as Saudi Arabia's envoy at the diplomatic missions in Sweden and Ireland in 2021. In addition to a Master's in international relations from an Australian university, she graduated from Harvard's emerging leadership program. After commencing her diplomatic career in 2007, she became the first female ambassador in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs history.

She reportedly assisted deputy foreign ministers on political matters. Al Shawhan was also the first woman to hold the position of department manager in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Department of Political and Economic Affairs.


  • Haifa al-Jadea

She was appointed ambassador and head of Saudi Arabia's mission to the European Union and the European Atomic Energy Community on January 3, 2023. Her job started immediately. She has master's degrees in international relations from Syracuse University and conflict resolution and negotiation from Colombia University.

Her degrees are in international relations and those disciplines, respectively. She also worked at the UN Counter-Terrorism Center and represented the UK before the UN Security Council.

She also reportedly supervised the Tourism Ministry's General Department of International Relations. Al-Jadea formerly worked as the CEO of SMRG Think in addition to his job as one of the Saudi Research and Media Group's eight executive team members.


  • Amal Yahya al-Moallimi

Amal Yahya was appointed ambassador to Norway in 2022. She studied at Nora bint Abdul Rahman University, where she received a bachelor's degree in English Language Studies.

She also received a master's degree in public communication from Denver University. She worked for the Saudi Human Rights Commission in 2019 as the Director General of Organizations and International Cooperation, continuing a similar theme.  According to reports, she worked as the assistant secretary-general at the Saudi Arabian King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue.


  • Nisreen al-Shibel

Nisreen bint Hamad al-Shibel was recently chosen to be Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Finland starting on January 3, 2023. She took the oath of office in the presence of King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Following that, she expressed her gratitude to the monarch by tweeting a message to him.
