Mike Pompeo assures strict approach to Iran says ‘still have options to counter Iran’

As the secretary of state Mike Pompeo became the first top US official to ever visit Israeli settlements in West Banks and Golan Heights, there were major announcements from his end representing the Trump administration that he made while on the trip.

The time to make exit from the White House nears for Mike Pompeo and President Donald Trump and just a few weeks before it, the US administration is taking a few major calls on issues related to Israel and Iran. After wrapping up his tour of Israel Pompeo spoke to the Jerusalem Post where he talked about steps the US will take on matters related to Iran.

The top US diplomat assured that they still have a lot of measures to counter Iran anti-terrorism activities in the middle east region. He confidently asserted in the interview to the news organization saying that the present administration has been very clear on its stand and that there is no reason that it will change in coming years.

He further talked about the achievement of America in context with the sanctions on Iran saying that the world doubted whether it would work or not but America proved them wrong. He credited Donald Trump for stopping the money flow to Iran, which was supposedly done to counter terror funding.

Apart from this, a Trump negotiated deal between the UAE and Israel, Abraham Accords, were also part of the engagement plan in the Middle East which was further joined by Bahrain and Sudan. He added that through such ways, efforts to isolate Iran will be continued.

The diplomat also said that according to Trump, it is Iran that is causing instability in the Middle East region. The President has also successfully rejected all the notions about the situation in between Israel and Palestine that exhibited that nothing can be done in the region, said Pompeo.

Amidst all of this, Pompeo was also asked about the steps that the next administration will take after the current partners exit the White House to which he ignorantly said that the ‘votes are still being counted in the US.’

As for the Trump and Biden rivalry, the accusation of the incumbent President proved to be wrong as reports revealed that Biden won Georgia by a narrow margin over Trump. In an statement given to NBC by  Jaclyn Rothenberg, Georgia communications director for the Biden campaign,  she said, "The recount process simply reaffirmed what we already knew: Georgia voters selected Joe Biden to be their next president

Al Gore has history of climate predictions, statements proven false

Noted climate activist and former Vice President Al Gore, who made headlines this week after he claimed   global warming was "boiling the oceans,"   has a history of making climate-related proclamations later proven to be false. During remarks made Wednesday at the  World Economic Forum summit  in Davos, Switzerland, Gore warned that continued carbon emissions into the atmosphere would destroy the planet and lead to widespread calamities. "We’re still putting 162 million tons [of greenhouse gas] into it every single day and the accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth," Gore said. "That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, and creating the droughts, and melting the ice and raising the sea level, and causing these waves of climate refugees."
