German Green Party, Cem Ozdemir, accused Erdogan of Promoting Islamic Terrorism in Europe.

Sunday, November 01, 2020. Germany's opposition Green Party foreign affairs expert Cem Ozdemir has accused Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of promoting Islamic terrorism in Europe. This expert said in a statement on Friday that "action will be taken against all those who continue to incite Islamists." He accused the Turkish president of inciting violence in Europe.

Ozdemir argued that Islamist groups in his country will be treated differently than before and monitoring their activities. He also said that Islamist organizations would be formed in accordance with the German constitution and made independent from foreign governments.

Turkey and European governments are in a state of crisis after a heated exchange of words in the media. This week there were terrorist attacks in France on teachers, pastors and civilians that further fueled the deteriorating relations between Turkey and France. Meanwhile, several governments have expressed support for France, accusing Turkey of inciting terrorism, which has no place in Islam.

Last week, the presidents of Turkey and France exchanged heated words in the media. Taking advantage of the tense Muslim situation, Erdogan called for a halt to French supplies and for Islamic countries to cut ties with France. This has been described by political analysts as "Erdogan's escape and a distraction of people from his failed policy and the difficult situation facing the Turkish economy."

In an interview with Al Jazeera, the French president said his speech had been manipulated and that Erdogan had taken advantage of his interests to gain support from Muslims. He said he understood the turbulent sentiments of Muslims at the moment and insisting that he respected Muslim countries, but defended his country's freedom of speech in writing, thought, and photography.

Russia, a close ally of Turkey, has said it is ready to provide any necessary assistance if the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict spreads to Armenia. This will be a blow to Turkey, which may lose Russia or can lead to confrontation between them, as Turkey provides military support to Azerbaijan.

However, relations between Europe and Turkey are deteriorating, and Turkey's desire to join the European Union has been severely damaged. Turkey, meanwhile, is facing difficult economic and political challenges. It seems that Erdogan is currently in a hellish politics that is hard to get out of.
