The U.S. Armed Forces launched air strikes
on militants of the radical Taliban movement in the Helmand province of
Afghanistan on Wednesday. This was
stated by a representative of the US Armed Forces.
According to him, it was an air strike for
defensive purposes against the Taliban who attacked the checkpoint of the
Afghan armed forces.
On February 29,
a peace agreement was signed between United States and the Taliban in
Doha. In order to create a favorable
environment at the time of signing the agreement, an agreement was reached to
establish a seven-day period for reducing violence in Afghanistan, which began
on February 22. On March 2, the Taliban
announced the resumption of hostilities against government forces in
Afghanistan.
