Beijing Tries To Win Back From Its Faux Pas Over Virus Spread

They have learned from their mistakes, and would like to make amends with the world as Beijing sends off its intensive care personnel to Europe. New virus cases emerging from the consisting population have not been reported. Reported fresh cases come from foreigners who have now traveled to China.

A delegation of Chinese personnel recently arrived at Milan’s Malpensa airport to help manage Italy’s coronavirus emergency. A contingent of 300 doctors arrived in Italy, one of the many offers made by a guilty Chinese regime to iron out its difference and the severe damage it has caused to the world, due to its negligence and lack of empathy in handling the crises at hand.

Along with personnel, China is also trying to cushion the injury by sending related medical aid in the form of kits, equipment, clothing and padding it up with a lot of positive publicity, that it is seriously apologetic and would like to mend the ties worldwide.  It has extended support to Spain, Poland and Greece as well.

Apparently, EU nations have been distasteful about the whole Italian faux pas and have refused to extend any support, an opportunity that political analysts feel Beijing could have harnessed. Beijing is also trying to reach out to those nations that could not be financially and medically supported by the EU nations. However, the EU nations hold a strict stand against Italy and China’s mismanagement of the pandemic. Beijing is repairing its global image by showing itself as a humanitarian partner with Balkan states like Serbia that does not have a good impression about EU and is all praises for its strong partner, China.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Ivan Krastev, a Vienna-based political analyst had pointed out that, “The global pandemic could make China’s authoritarian regime look more attractive in the eyes of some people in European democracies. A regime such as China’s “can monitor people and close down whole areas. Otherwise-horrific social control now seems welcome.”

It has been confirmed that within China itself, many provinces and cities had decided to essentially shut themselves off to travelers from elsewhere. This has obviously raised questions over whether the virus will re-emerge once such barriers are lifted and people begin crisscrossing the country again.

Israeli settlers have once again attacked religious minorities in the region, this time targeting a church in East Jerusalem.

According to reports, the settlers assaulted clerics and worshippers at the Church of the Sepulchre of Saint Charbel, causing damage to the property and injuring several people. This kind of behavior is not only unacceptable but also undermines efforts to promote peace and stability in the region. Attacks on religious minorities are a direct attack on religious freedom and must be condemned by all. The Israeli authorities must take swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice and hold them accountable for their actions. It is also important to ensure the safety and protection of religious minorities and their places of worship, as guaranteed by international law. this incident is a sad reminder of the ongoing conflict in the region and the need for a comprehensive and just solution. It is up to all of us to work together to promote understanding, tolerance, and respect for different beliefs and cultures, and to build a brighter and more peaceful future for all.

Fights break out as Kurds protest the French government's denial of a terrorist attack

Following the murder of three Kurds in what is being considered to be a probable racist incident , there have been widespread protests in Paris. The fact that the authorities did not view the attack at a Kurdish centre as a terrorist act has enraged the Kurdish diaspora in Paris. All of the dead were Kurdish community members who passed away both inside and outside the cultural centre. Agit Polat, a spokesman for the Kurdish centre, charged that French officials "yet again failed to safeguard us... This is a terrorist attack in our eyes, according to the AFP news agency. In the afternoon, a number of protestors, largely from the Kurdish diaspora, got into a fight with the police outside the centre and in the streets close by, throwing rocks and torching trash cans. Verbal spat between Joe Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu over Israel judicial overhaul

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, turned down United States President Joe Biden’s suggestion that the Israeli government “walks away” from a plan to overhaul the country’s legal system. A verbal spat between the two close allies took place on Wednesday. The US President and Israeli Prime Minister exchanged a few words on judicial changes in Israel. On Tuesday, reporters asked Joe Biden about Israel’s judicial overhaul planned reforms.
