Farmajo is working to destabilize the Country.

Monday, December 14, 2020. Since the dispute over the election commissions sparked controversy between the government and opposition parties, there have been international and local calls for the government to change the way it nominates the commissions. The international community and Somali stakeholders have urged Farmajo to come up with a calm environment to resolve the dispute, and to accept changes to the electoral commissions, which are said to include members of the army, intelligence and civil servants.

The Speaker of the Upper House of the Federal Parliament, the Union of Presidential Candidates, Puntland and Jubbaland State presidents, the Civil Society, the majority of the Somali intelligentsia agreed that President Farmajo and Prime Minister Roble need to address the following issues in order to leave the country protected from political turmoil and conflict that could lead to retaliation.

1. Recognize that the advice and vetting of the implementation of the election is between the Members of the National Consultative Council consisting of the President of the JFS, the Speaker of the Upper House, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Prime Minister, and the Presidents of the DG.

2. Recognize that the Federal Electoral Commission, the Dispute Resolution Committee, the Somaliland Parliamentary Election Commission, the Benadir Regional Parliamentary Election Commission are unconstitutional, inconsistent with the implementation of the Indirect Election Agreement, the principles of free and fair elections, and it is necessary to be changed and new committees agreed upon. Criteria for membership include impartiality, transparency, good reputation in the community, transparency, knowledge, responsibility, experience, and independence from the military, civil servants, non-relatives or pro-Farmajo social media  supporters.

3. Address the crisis in Hirshabelle as soon as possible to prevent a civil war.

4. That the administration of Gedo region be left to Jubbaland State.

5. To ensure the participation of the Opposition in the implementation of the elections and the political decision of the country.

6. Recognize that the term of the Federal Parliament is over, and that there is no government in the country that has the constitutional provisions of the people of Somalia when it elects the members of the Federal Parliament. It is the duty of the President to consult with political stakeholders on the political process in the country, and to ensure that the administration is in accordance with the constitution, the law, and the communication system. They must stop all government work other than normal daily activities. It is important to protect national assets by holding the authorities accountable.

So all of this has slowed down by Farmajo to do or at least address. Political analysts say the government wants to plunge the country into a political crisis by delaying elections and extending its term in office. But this can lead to conflict and political turmoil.
