Egyptian President hails Egypt’s historic nuclear plant development plan

Egypt has entered the league of nuclear program developing nations with its historic development of the first nuclear plant in the country. This was further affirmed after the discussion between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El- Sisi and Director General of ROSATOM Alexey Likhachev.

The Russian state agency is working in coordination with Cairo in order to construct the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant. Egyptian spokesman said that the Egyptan President and the Russian delegates will discuss developments in the construction of the nuclear plant project which will reportedly commence from next year.

The recent report reveals that El-Sisi is looking forward to the ‘new edifice’ that will be in addition to all the projects that Russians and the Egyptians have been working on in coordination with each other.

He further added this plant will be a symbol for Egyptian-Russian friendship for the Egyptian people. He showed his confidence in the experience that the Russians have in this field. Hailing their experience, he said that this plant will reflect the ‘highest technical standards’ through the structure.

Even the Russian side said that Russia was keen on developing and strengthening relations with Egypt while also praising the situation and condition of the economy of the country and progress of the developmental projects.

Explaining the basis of the development of their relations, he also added that the most essential factors in development of the relations of the two nations is their common political goal. The El Dabaa project is a priority for Russia, he added. Having said that, he also credited the Egyptian companies who are taking part in the development of the project.

On this matter, Egypt’s head of the Nuclear Plant Authority Amjad Al- Wakeel said that the permit to go ahead with the construction is likely to be confirmed by 2021. “An approval for construction permission was issued in January 2019 to start the construction of the nuclear plant at El Dabaa with a capacity of 4,800MW,” Al-Wakeel said.

He further said,“The authority is waiting to obtain permission to start building nuclear reactors to generate electricity in cooperation with the Russian ROSATOM company that is responsible for construction of the plant.”

Al Gore has history of climate predictions, statements proven false

Noted climate activist and former Vice President Al Gore, who made headlines this week after he claimed   global warming was "boiling the oceans,"   has a history of making climate-related proclamations later proven to be false. During remarks made Wednesday at the  World Economic Forum summit  in Davos, Switzerland, Gore warned that continued carbon emissions into the atmosphere would destroy the planet and lead to widespread calamities. "We’re still putting 162 million tons [of greenhouse gas] into it every single day and the accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth," Gore said. "That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, and creating the droughts, and melting the ice and raising the sea level, and causing these waves of climate refugees." Gore then not
