Turkey uses Pakistan as a shield to cover the corrupt interests in India

Power hungry Turkey has been serving its corrupted interests in India by funding the extremist groups in sensitive parts of the country says a report unfolded by the Hindustan Times. But is it only limited to its thirst for influence in South Asia?

If not best of friends, India and Turkey were not exactly what we call enemies for each other. Both the countries are entirely different in the way they function and have completely different interests. It was only last when the stable bilateral relations between the two countries had become sour. In 2019, India had strongly opposed the unilateral action by the Turkish military in Syria and urged to restraint such provoking movements. Even though there was no immediate response but the smell of a strained relationship was in the air. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan got his chance to speak when India revoked the controversial article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, known for land struggle with Pakistan and terrorist activities.

The Turkish president had compared struggles of Kashmiri people to that of Turkish ethnicity when they fought foriegn domination on their land. He said, “Kashmiri people have suffered for decades and their sufferings have increased following unilateral steps taken in recent times.” India bluntly asked Turkey not to get involved in personal affairs. This was the end to years of cordial friendship between both the nations.

Cut to 2020, Turkey has become the hub to majority of the anti-India activities in India. As per the details uncovered by the reports in the past few days, Turkey strongly wants to hold an influence on South Asian muslims in its greed for dominance over the Islamic nations. The report claimed that not only has Turkey funded CAA protests that saw a lot of disturbance in the country for months but also has been supporting sepratist leader in Kashmir Syed Ali Shah Geelani, for several years. To think that these activities and heavily involvement of Turkey in India is only for influencing the muslim population seems a little far fetched. There is a deeper interest here. Though there is no doubt that Anakra wants to dominate the Ottoman belt and the South Asian region, the motive seems to be dependence. Erdogan wants to feel powerful. Turkey, despite its various attempts, is unable to feel the power that nations like the United States, China, Russia or the United kingdom holds. If we go back, we will realise that these so-called powerful countries offered their shoulder to the less privileged countries a few years back and that established themselves in the guardian’s role.

For Russia, it is Syria. We know that Russia commands Syria in more than one way. Similarly, for China, it is Pakistan, Sri Lanka and now Nepal. It is not any religion that China is promoting but it just wants power. If we talk about the US, we already know that it's powerful enough to announce sanctions over different countries and selfishly serve its greed. Not to forget, Iraq, Sudan, Yemen are being taken care of by America. But Turkey does not have a baby. It might have all the means but there is no one to take care of and hence, Turkey turned right to India. India is struggling as it is. There is an economic downfall, there are communal issues, protests with the center’s decisions and dissatisfaction among people with regards to the development. Turkey may have thought that this is the perfect situation to step in.

But any well researched person will know that even if India is suffering, it is not possible to gain complete dominance over such a country. Not only does India have strong allies, it also rejected anything forced upon with a general consensus of the population. Turkey might influence a certain group or a community but tackling India is much more difficult that Erdogan can imagine. Probably this is why he has been taking Pakistan’s help to serve its motive. With this expose of Turkey being so actively involved in anti-India activities, India has found its reason to be more cautious than ever.

Agit Polat, a spokesman for the Kurdish centre, charged that French officials "yet again failed to safeguard us... This is a terrorist attack in our eyes, according to the AFP news agency. In the afternoon, a number of protestors, largely from the Kurdish diaspora, got into a fight with the police outside the centre and in the streets close by, throwing rocks and torching trash cans. Police use...
