Turkey adamant over conducting military exercise off Northwest Cyprus, ignores EU’s warnings

As the tensions between Turkey and Greece grow, former is adamant on conducting the military exercises off Northwest Cyprus for the next two weeks despite the region being a disputed area over the exploration rights in the east Meditaranian. Interestingly, both Greece and Turkey are NATO members which means their motive should be to safeguard allie’s freedom be it political or military and Turkey has been single handedly destroying the deal. This dispute was ignited when the two countries had agreed to the rival accords on their maritime boundaries with Libya and Egypt and just after that, Ankara sent a survey vessel into the disputed waters. After things escalated, the European Union had to meddle in between the nation and give a warning to Turkey to halt its drilling activities in the contested waters and take a step back from causing any more troubles. The EU also asked to identify the Turkey officials involved in this energy exploration process and blacklist them as soo...

Somalian leaders fix a new election model despite political turmoil in the country

After days of discussions on the election model of Somalia, President  Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed and three of the state leaders along with Mogadishu have come up with an approach that the country is going to take with regards to elections. There was a unit discussion in Galmadug state, administrative capital of Somalia, after which the members released a statement saying that members of a legislative party from each faction will elect an MP and that MP will get a seat in the parliament. MP’s for the federal house will be elected by the caucuses that each federal state will have. Each state must have three caucuses. Further, these MP’s will be electing the President of the country. It took the panel a lot to come in this agreement, nearly two months of work. But contrary to what was being predicted, the elections will not be in the shortest format rather will stretch for a long time. Despite all that effort, Somalia’s parliament might not give this agreement a go-ahead due to th...

In a Qatari attempt seeking to satisfy the armed factions and fear splits in the militia ranks, Qatar’s defense minister Khaled Al-Attiyah and his counterpart Hulusi Akar met in Tripoli, Libya’s capital city to discuss on the matters regarding military, security operations and existing defense capabilities of GNA.  In what is being labeled as a secret meeting, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al-Sarraj welcomed Defence Ministers, and their accompanying delegations. This led the three involved nations into deciding that will increase the military support for th...

Defense Ministers of Qatar and Turkey meet in Tripoli in secrecy

Defense ministers of Turkey and Qatar have reportedly visited the capital of crisis hit country Libya and discussed cooperation with cooperation with Libya’s internationally recognised government while the Germans are doubting the intention as they think of it as a ‘deceptive calm’. On Monday, Qatar’s State Minister of Defense, Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah and the Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi, Akar arrived in Tripoli. According to a Syrian observatory for Human Rights, the secret meeting was regarding the in ground situation in Libya so that Qatar can send the 400 Syrian mercenaries that it has been housing to train them and use them in Libya. They have predicted for the both the Defense Ministers to meet Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) Fayez al-Serraj and discuss the latest developments on ground. This will also give them an idea of how it turned out when Ankara had sent thousands of Syrian mercenaries to Libya starting from the end of last year. Turkey has ma...

Army to take control over Lebanon following the ‘state of emergency’

All except one in the Lebanon parliament has voted for the military to take over the country in the wake of the deadly Beirut blast on August 5 which killed nearly 200 people and left over 6000 injured. In its first session after the deadly explosion, the parliament has announced a state of emergency which means extending power to the army in the city. This move has been highly criticised by the human rights groups who think that this can be fatal for the freedom of existence in the country. Earlier a two-week emergency was declared by the cabinet in a session that was hurriedly called on by the President Michel Aoun the day of the explosion but now getting the parliament’s approval makes everything more official. The Army has the power to impose curfews, ban assemblies and bar the media from coverage if it deems them threatening to national security.  Though it will last until Aug. 21, but can be renewed. The decision made its way due to the unsettling situation in Leba...

Turkey’s dive into the Meditarranean upsets Greece

Tensions have escalated between Greece and Turkey after Turkey entered the disputed waters in the eastern meditarranean region. On Tuesday, Turkey had sent a research vessel to carry out a seismic research for energy resources. The ship was looking for a potential scope of finding oil and gas deposits south of the Greek island of Kastellorizo. Following this, Greece has planned to call out an emergency meeting of the European Union’s Foreign Affairs Council, as announced by the Prime Minister’s office. Prime Minister of Turkey, Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Foreign Minister, Nikos Dendias met to come to this conclusion of involving European Union in this matter. Greece condemned the decision of Ankara to go ahead with the search prospect and considers it to be an illegal act that infringes its right as a sovereign country. Greek warships were in the area and were monitoring the Oruc Reis, and the military was on alert, officials said. Recep Tayyip Erdogan was called out by the EU t...

Islamic Relief charity just a mask to cover the agenda pf Muslim Brotherhood

It was only last month when the Director of the International resource sector at the International Islamic Relief Organisation, Heshmat Khalifa stepped down from his position after he was found to be spreading hatred and supporting terror groups. He expressed his ideas in social networking site facebook where he posted a lot of extremist content and several writings that asked for patronage. This report was covered extensively by the west especially the British publications like the Daily Mail and the Guardian who highlighted the derogatory statements that Khalifa had posted on facebook. He had started making personal statements on particular communities. For an example, he called the Jews "grandchildren of monkeys and pigs” and in a similar hurtful post, he described Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as a "Zionist pimp." When the report came out, people wanted to see his outrageous posts but by the time facebook had already removed his page. He has been a pa...

Qatar-Hezbollah terror financing networking: European powers demand immediate crackdown on terror web

Qatar-Hezbollah’s financing terror has raise various concern regarding who would be the next target of Hezbollah and this was reported last week. The secret mission led by German security contractor, Jason G., exposed how Qatari royals are supporting funds for the Lebanon-based Hezbollah, a proscribed terrorist organization, as per investigation, Qatar has been channeling money and weapon to deliver it to the Iran-backed radical group, Hezbollah since 2017 which is known for sending its mercenaries to Syrian border in order to attack Israel.   The report also exposed the misdoings of Qatari monarchy, how ironic is it that Qatari royals, who on paper claim to be US allies, are the ones powering the terror groups including ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas. US puts about 10,000 troops positioned there in the line of fire, the US stationed its troops in the region to fight these terror groups from spreading extremist ideology hence US administration should ca...

Who does Hezbollah eye next? Is Qatar deciding the next attack?

It has been revealed that Qatar’s royal family has been funding global terror group Hezbollah and after this report was released by the Fox news, Qatar came under heavy scrutiny and the west was suggesting some strong steps to counter this terror funding process. If this stands true, Hezbollah will be looking to take on Qatar’s enemy for funds. Sparks about Qatar funding started in 2017 when one of the news agencies posted an article praising Iran, also one of the many places Hezbollah takes claim for, and criticised the United States for the sanctions and strict policy implementation on Iran. Gradually, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Saudi Arabia severed their diplomatic ties with Qatar. Now with the revelations in the reports, 10,000 US troops hosted by Doha at Al Udeid base and with the current outing of the dossier, the lives of these US troops are put in danger. They also have a headquarters of US Central Command. Hezbollah has been listed as designated terrorist gro...

Egypt goes ahead with the deal of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jet even as US opposes

The Egyptian army will be acquiring the Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jet for the first time from Russia as revealed by the media outlet Russia today when it was spotted that the fighter jets are being headed to Egypt. The reports have been doing around since earlier this year but the most we can come up with remains to be speculations as neither the Russian nor the Egyptian side confirmed this or made any official comments on the deal. The United States has strong objections on this deal as it fears superiority of the Egyptian army in the region. The news site said, “ The sources indicated that these heavy and long-range fighter jets would give the Egyptian army superiority in the regional sky, which is why the US strongly objected.” The first batch of Sukhoi Su-35 have reportedly been taken from the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation plant to European side of Russia from where it will be taken to Egypt. When the talks were still going on, the US strongly condemned this move and even th...

Turkey uses Pakistan as a shield to cover the corrupt interests in India

Power hungry Turkey has been serving its corrupted interests in India by funding the extremist groups in sensitive parts of the country says a report unfolded by the Hindustan Times. But is it only limited to its thirst for influence in South Asia? If not best of friends, India and Turkey were not exactly what we call enemies for each other. Both the countries are entirely different in the way they function and have completely different interests. It was only last when the stable bilateral relations between the two countries had become sour. In 2019, India had strongly opposed the unilateral action by the Turkish military in Syria and urged to restraint such provoking movements. Even though there was no immediate response but the smell of a strained relationship was in the air. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan got his chance to speak when India revoked the controversial article 370 from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, known for land struggle with Pakistan and terrorist activi...

Iraq struggles between the fight of Iran and the US. How can Europeans intervene?

Prime Minister of Iraq, Mustafa al-Kadhimi has announced that the scheduled parliamentary election will be held in June next year which was originally supposed to be held in 2022. Even the United Nations appreciated his decision and said, “it would promote greater stability and democracy in the country.” Even as he announces the elections prior to the scheduled dates, one can not neglect the crisis Iraq had been facing. It might not be as huge as what Yemen and Lebanon is facing but Iraq’s economic crisis and the political losehand comes with its over dependence on aids from the United States and the neighbouring ally, Iran. Iraq has had a long and tiring battle with ISIS and now struggles to find the balance between the needs and promises of the country. Clearly, the state of the country is far from stable. Iran has a great say in Iraq’s politics and America seems to be influencing Iraq a lot lately. Both the rival nations are fighting and unheard battle in the land of Iraq. Bot...
