Puntland State President Said Abdullahi Deni has reportedly rejected a plan presented by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed during a recent visit to the Ethiopian capital. Abbiy Ahmed called on the President of Puntland to support and be a major part of the campaign for the re-election of President Farmajo. Deni, one of Farmajo's main rivals in the regional states presidents, opposed the plan, and rejected the offer.
