India’s Position in World’s Changing Geopolitical Situation

India is currently finding itself in a world where dynamics are rapidly changing, the conditions are escalating to a dangerous peak, with the world beginning to slow down and crumble financially. Right now we are in an evolving geopolitical situation where there is a rise in the position of China, India, and other nations in Asia PacificRegion like Vietnam, Indonesia, Iran, and South Korea. This region is emerging as the new political and economic center of the world.

In recent times we have seen rapidly changing dynamics and shifts in the balance of power and dominance in a world where the United States of America was treated as the ‘first world’. But in last years with rise in uncertainty, unpredictability and disengagement of the present Trump administration in the U.S., China, and the U.S. relationship is shifting to a contention strategic standpoint which is greatly uninhabited and growing with relation to economic interdependence. With China working strategically to gain a prime position among the world leaders that has been long dominated by the U.S., the world is set to face some major dynamic shifts, power transitions – of destabilizing nature. This era is to watch out for!

India’s Stance – Autonomy is the Key

Many prominent Indian and global leaders would suggest India to make a strong ally with China, an emerging power. But what should really be India’s position and stand? India’s capabilities to hold an independent position have been highly misjudged for a long time. With prior governments holding on to foreign and security policies with a common stance of ally forming strategy, the present government has an altogether different outlook. The Prime Minister at the Center is, refreshingly, of a single pursuit and persuasion– India’s Strategic Autonomy.

The great advantage for India in this disorganized present time is to hold an independent position and pursue its national interest as the top priority. Present world rhetoric calls for a fresh outlook of foreign policies and flexible diplomacies. An alliance, at present when the world is rapidly changing in terms of power and relations, looks like a wrong choice.

Why Not China Alliance?

China which is looking like the frontrunner in the challenge, can hinder India’s quest and chances of rising up as the superpower. But the opportunities it is providing cannot be overlooked.

India can handle China by bilaterally engaging and look if an evolved modus vivendi is a possibility, replacing the one that was put in place by Rajiv Gandhi in 1988 during his visit to China.

With India’s uprising, China’s opposition is to be expected, as along with other superpowers. It will be important to ensure that India’s relations with the neighbors are maintained.

India – China relations are complex to the core and simply cannot be justifiably explained on paper. But this also gives an opportunity to draft a new modus vivendi. For this elaborate strategic dialogues would be required keeping in mind the individual interests, differences, and similarities.

U.S. Equation

The U.S. is an important partner in India’s transformation as an emerging superpower with lots of potentials. But with the current withdrawal of administration strategies and the motto of ‘America First’, U.S. is losing its grip as numero uno.

India is looking towards a big opportunity waiting

The present foreign policy of India strongly advocates it is the world’s teacher or ‘Vishwa Guru’. While it might satisfy the ego as a nation, what it does for the citizens is to watch out for. The present debacle in the world gives India a golden chance to work upon its foreign policies clearly and be a strong contender as a world leader while keeping the Indians a priority as well.

Al Gore has history of climate predictions, statements proven false

Noted climate activist and former Vice President Al Gore, who made headlines this week after he claimed   global warming was "boiling the oceans,"   has a history of making climate-related proclamations later proven to be false. During remarks made Wednesday at the  World Economic Forum summit  in Davos, Switzerland, Gore warned that continued carbon emissions into the atmosphere would destroy the planet and lead to widespread calamities. "We’re still putting 162 million tons [of greenhouse gas] into it every single day and the accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth," Gore said. "That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, and creating the droughts, and melting the ice and raising the sea level, and causing these waves of climate refugees." Gore then not

Saudi Arabia can import halal Kobe beef from Japan

Japan is now the third nation authorized to export beef to the Muslim world, along with Saudi Arabia. At a signing ceremony, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan Al-Saud and Tomoshige Kanzawa, president of the Kobe Beef Marketing and Distribution Promotion Association, confirmed the certification for the Kingdom. In Saudi Arabia, beef can only be consumed if it has been processed in accordance with religious regulations and is marked as halal.
