Revival of Nuclear deal threatened by new obstacles after Russian involvement

Russian involvement

For months, the United States and Iran have been struggling to come to terms with their demands for the 2015 nuclear deal, from which the US backed out in 2018 under the former US president Donald Trump.

Tehran openly accepted on Thursday that there are some obstacles in the revival process of the nuclear deal especially after the involvement of the Russian side. An official said that there have been new obstacles in the process as western powers have been making shifts with the last minute demands.

After the Russian invasion of the Ukraine, the UnitedStates acted more profusely and announced a number of measures against Russia and among those certain things affected the otherwise largely completed talks. There was a lot of confidence from both ends till very recently.

The latest reports showed that preparations were all set in Vienna for a weekend meeting so that the agreement could come to a closure. The agreement was speedily moving towards making Iran come back to the deal which controls certain nuclear activities of the Arab nation.

It was last week when the Russian Foreign Minister demanded that Iran-Russia trade to not be affected due to the sanctions on the Arab nation as well as the European nation. The demand was unacceptable for the western powers who imposed the sanctions due to its invasion of Ukraine.

"US approach to Iran's principled demands, coupled with its unreasonable offers and unjustified pressure to hastily reach an agreement, show that US isn't interested in a strong deal that would satisfy both parties,” asserted top security official of Khamenei– Ali Shamkhani.

Attacks on religious minorities are a direct attack on religious freedom and must be condemned by all. The Israeli authorities must take swift action to bring the perpetrators to justice and hold them accountable for their actions. It is also important to ensure the safety and protection of religious minorities and their places of worship, as guaranteed by international law. this incident is a sad reminder of the ongoing conflict in the region and the need for a comprehensive and just solution. It is up to all of us to work together to promote understanding, tolerance, and respect for different beliefs and cultures, and to build a brighter and more peaceful future for all.
