Israel undermines chances of establishing a Palestinian state, says Palestinian Prime Minister Ishtaye

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Ishtaye said that Israel undermine any chances of establishing a Palestinian state. He said that the Israeli government doesn’t want any solution on this matter.

Tensions are often high between Israel and Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank because of the conflict. Prime Minister Ishtaye said that no solution will be achieved through negotiations. Ishtaye said that the Israeli government will not hold any talks with Palestine. He called on Singapore to recognise the Palestinian state.

Reportedly, earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett announced that his government would not hold any talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas or any other officials of Palestine.

Direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians, which were sponsored by the United States (US) for nine months, stopped in 2014 because of the issues related to Jewish settlements in the West Bank.

Palestinians in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank said that they suffered a lot because of Israeli actions and restrictions. Gaza is ruled by the Palestinian militant group Hamas, which has fought Israel many times.

Earlier, Palestine held the Israeli government directly responsible for the Jewish settlers’ practices in the West Bank. Reportedly, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry accused the Jewish settlers’ of trying to set fire to Palestinian vehicles in East Jerusalem.

In January, Israeli police illegally displaced Palestinians from their home in Sheikh Jarrah. Dozens of Israeli police officers stormed the home of the Salhiya family in Sheikh Jarrah, where 40 people would live.

Last year, violence against Palestinian worshipers at the al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem led to an 11-day war between Palestine and the Israeli regime. At least 260 Palestinians, including 66 children, were killed because of the war.

Israel still occupies the West Bank. However, Palestinians want the occupied West Bank as part of their future independent state. Israel claims the whole of Jerusalem as its capital, while the Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

Al Gore has history of climate predictions, statements proven false

Noted climate activist and former Vice President Al Gore, who made headlines this week after he claimed   global warming was "boiling the oceans,"   has a history of making climate-related proclamations later proven to be false. During remarks made Wednesday at the  World Economic Forum summit  in Davos, Switzerland, Gore warned that continued carbon emissions into the atmosphere would destroy the planet and lead to widespread calamities. "We’re still putting 162 million tons [of greenhouse gas] into it every single day and the accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth," Gore said. "That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, and creating the droughts, and melting the ice and raising the sea level, and causing these waves of climate refugees." Gore then not
